Aurora supports youth engagement through the YOUCA Action Day

On 16 October, //Aurora took part in the YOUCA Action Day, an annual initiative that brings together over 15,000 young people who spend a day working for a company, organisation or public service. The wages they earn are donated to projects that empower youth around the world to shape their own future.

This year’s edition focused on climate justice. The proceeds support young climate activists in Peru who are standing up against illegal logging, mining and large-scale agriculture threatening the Amazon rainforest. In doing so, young people both here and there contribute to building a fairer and more sustainable world.

At Aurora, we welcomed Jelle Coolen from Campos Turnhout, who spent a day working on our Rota production line. The experience offered him a glimpse into our daily operations while contributing to a meaningful cause.

As a manufacturer of paper products committed to lifelong learning, we believe in supporting initiatives that encourage young people to discover, learn and take initiative. The YOUCA Action Day perfectly reflects our belief that learning extends far beyond the classroom and continues throughout life.
